Personnel from Northern Constabulary ,the Air Accident Investigation Branch and
RAF MRT attended the crash site and carried out preliminary investigations
today.
Human remains have been removed from the scene although no formal
identification has taken place.
Superintendent O'Connor, Area Commander at Dingwall commented;
"This has proved to be particularly challenging due to the remote
location,difficult terrain and inclement weather conditions.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to Police staff,civilian and RAF
Mountain Rescue Teams,RAF Kinloss Co-ordination Centre and members of the
public who have assisted with the search and rescue operation.
Our thoughts at this time are with the family and friends of Timothy Cook "
Northern Constabulary and Air Accident Investigation Branch will continue to
make enquiries into the cause of the accident which may take some time to
complete.
